The Plank is the best way to strengthen your body from head to toes.
From a prone position, in which the weight is supported by both feet and hands (or forearms), the body is held in axis by the isometric contraction of the muscles involved and by the stabilization of the ‘core’.
Do you really know what the main benefits of plank are?
- it strengthens all the abdominal muscles, even the deep ones, helping to sculpt the abdomen and flattening the belly
- it tones the glutes which are kept contracted throughout the execution, also helping to combat cellulite as well
